Happy Feet

The word Saved is a great Bible Word.

“Saved” in the Bible is referencing our salvation.

In the Bible we are either saved or lost. Headed to Heaven or headed to Hell.

1. If you want to see people saved, you need to start with prayer.

Before you share with them you should be praying for them.

Matthew 9:36-38 NKJV
[36] But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. [37] Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. [38] Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Jesus says to pray for nonbelievers.

2 Corinthians 4:4 NKJV
[4] whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Nonbelievers are not the enemy, not along ago we were one of them.

Jonah looked at Ninevites as the enemy.

Jonah 4:2 NKJV
[2] So he prayed to the LORD, and said, "Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.

2. When you seek people to be saved, you will face obstacles.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.

Romans 10:3 NKJV
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

3. There is only one way to be saved.

Romans 10:8-9 NKJV
[8] But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

You have to believe it and profess it.

Have you openly done that?

Jesus is Lord! Say it out loud...
Jesus is Lord!

4. We must tell people that they need to be saved.

Romans 10:14-15 NKJV
[14] How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

Beautiful feet! Feet that deliver the Gospel are beautiful to the Lord.

Those feet are in “full bloom” or “lively” can be the translation of the word “beautiful” in that scripture.

You will be refreshed when you share the Gospel. It changes your perspective.

Sowing and reaping seeds is all we can do. God gets the credit.

The devil tries to steal the seed.

Romans 10:14 NKJV
[14] How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

You don’t have to yell to preach.

1 Corinthians 1:21 NKJV
[21] For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Be a good example. The best bridge you can build may be your good example.

Paul and Silas were a great example to the jailer while they were imprisoned. He even asked what he had to do to be saved.

When you go through hardships and keep your faith in tact it can effect the people around.

John Harper was a real life hero on the Titanic. He was an evangelist that was asking people if they were saved as the boat was going down. He was helping save people for the Lord as he was in the sinking ship. John Harper died that night.

Romans 10:13 NKJV
[13] For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

Are you saved?

Every Generation Needs Jesus

Notes: Every Generation Needs Jesus
Pastor Greg
Sunday morning
Scripture:
Romans 9
Series:
Relentless Grace: Paul

Did you know you have been chosen by God?

He chose you to be His child.

Good knows all things, and He STILL chose you!

Deuteronomy 7:7-8 NLT
[7] "The LORD did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! [8] Rather, it was simply that the LORD loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the LORD rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

He chose you because He loves you.

Try to explain election and you may lose your mind, try to explain it away and you may lose your soul!

John 3:16 NLT
[16] "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:6-8 NLT
[6] When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. [7] Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. [8] But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Christ died for the whole world.

Revelation 22:17 NLT
[17] The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let anyone who hears this say, "Come." Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

God wants all to believe.

God predestines every man to be saved. The devil predestines every man to be damned. Man casts the deciding vote.

Lord save the elect, and then elect some more. - D.L. Moody

1. God chose me to become more and more like Jesus everyday.

2. God chose you so you will become a Spiritually fruitful Christian.

Romans 10:13 NLT
[13] For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved."

Romans 9:3 NLT
[3] for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed-cut off from Christ!-if that would save them.

1. Everybody needs to hear the Gospel, no matter who they are.

Psalm 145:4 NLT
[4] Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.

2. The religious person needs the Gospel as much as the pagan person.

You need to have your own faith.

One of the easiest places to get your hearts hardened is in the church.

Romans 9:17 NLT
[17] For the Scriptures say that God told Pharaoh, "I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying my power in you and to spread my fame throughout the earth."

After miracles being witnessed, Pharaoh hardened his heart. Eventually God helped harden Pharaoh’s heart.

Harden can be translated to, strengthen or stiffen.

Romans 9:19-20 NLT
[19] Well then, you might say, "Why does God blame people for not responding? Haven't they simply done what he makes them do?" [20] No, don't say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, "Why have you made me like this?"

We are like a lump of clay on a potters wheel.

God’s plans for you are better then your plans for you, but you can sabotage His plans.

Philippians 2:12 NKJV
[12] Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

“Don’t wrestle, just nestle” - Corrie ten Boom

Have you been chosen by God?

The greatest inoculation against the Gospel is the Gospel when it is heard but not heeded.

Jesus Christ holds the missing piece to your life.

Tons of Religion Without an Ounce of Salvation

Notes: Tons of Religion Without an Ounce of Salvation
Pastor Jeff L
Harvest Valor
3/5/19

Many people have tons of religion without an ounce of salvation.

Romans 10:4 NKJV
[4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The work of redemption was finished with Jesus on the cross.

If you add to the Gospel, you actually subtract from it.

The Gospel is plain and simple truth.

The Gospel is received by faith.

Divine sovereignty does not remove human responsibility.

If Christ has not risen then our faith is in vain.

Every time we mention God we become theologians, the only question is if we are going to be good ones or bad ones.

The Gospel is for everyone.

The worst form of human badness is when human goodness becomes a substitute for faith.

Isaiah 28:16 NKJV
[16] Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.

Deuteronomy 30:10 NKJV
[10] if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Joel 2:32 NKJV
[32] And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.

The Gospel must be shared.

Romans 10:14 NKJV
[14] How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

We must never allow our theology to rob us of our responsibility!

Romans 10:21 NKJV
[21] But to Israel he says: "All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people."

Revelation 22:17 NKJV
[17] And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

God does not want you to try harder, He wants you to trust Him deeper.

All Things

Notes: All Things
by Greg Laurie on Mar 3, 2019
Event:
Sunday morning
Scripture:
Romans 8
Romans 8:28-29
Series:
Relentless Grace: Paul

Romans 8:28 NKJV
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Ephesians 1:11 NKJV
[11] In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

Psalm 119:67 NKJV
[67] Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.

Psalm 119:71 NKJV
[71] It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.

Psalm 119:75 NKJV
[75] I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

Matthew 5:4 NKJV
[4] Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

We aren’t in the explaining business, we are in the trusting and praying business.

Sometimes a disappointment can turn into an appointment with God.

Perfecting
Protecting
Correcting
The three types of storms in a Christian’s life.

Genesis 50:20 NKJV
[20] But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

After Romans 8:28 is 8:29...
Romans 8:29 NKJV
[29] For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

To be predestined, means God chose you before you chose Him.

Romans 8:28 NKJV
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28 is only for the Christian

Jesus died on the cross for me.

There was a sense of expectancy at church services.

The teaching of the rapture.

What is the rapture?

Harpazo Rapture means to take forcib

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NKJV
[16] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. [18] Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 NKJV
[13] But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

It’s not God’s desire to conceal but to reveal.

1 John 3:3 NKJV
[3] And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

We should live everyday as it’s the last day, because one day it will be.

Revelation 2:4 NKJV
[4] Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Repent means to change your direction.

Revelation 2:5 NKJV
[5] Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place-unless you repent.

Remember, Repent, Repeat

How to Live a Spirit-Led Life!

Notes: How to Live a Spirit-Led Life!
Greg Laurie
Sunday, February 3, 2019
Series: Relentless Grace: Paul's Letter to the Romans
Romans 8
Music: Harvest Worship Band

Depression is real and you know it when you experience it.

It usually comes down to three things:
1. You are haunted by something in your past.

2. You are anxious about your future.

3. You are weighed down by something presently.

Where do you put your hope?

Job 8:13-15 NKJV
[13] So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish, [14] Whose confidence shall be cut off, And whose trust is a spider's web. [15] He leans on his house, but it does not stand. He holds it fast, but it does not endure.

Hope has a name and it’s Jesus Christ.

God tells us how we are covered in the past, future and present:
Romans 8:1 NKJV
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Your sin is behind you.

Romans 8:38-39 NKJV
[38] For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:28 NKJV
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:1-4 NKJV
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. [3] For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, [4] that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

1. A spirit led believer lives a condemnation free life.

John 8:7 NKJV
[7] So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."

She became a believer right then,
John 8:11 NKJV
[11] She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

The Bible says we are a person at conception.

God does not see you in your sin, He sees you in His Son.

God sees you for what you are, not what you were.

2. The best way not to go backwards is to go forward in the Spirit.

Romans 8:2 NKJV
[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

The secret is the Holy Spirit working in your life.

Ephesians 5:18 NKJV
[18] And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

God is saying everyday He commands us to fill our sails with the Holy Spirit and let God help us.

3. Spirit led people are spiritually minded people.

Romans 8:5 NKJV
[5] For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:14-16 NKJV
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. [15] For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." [16] The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Romans 8:26-27 NKJV
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

I am adopted, I am loved and I am cared for.

God chose me!

In contrast to living a spirit filled life is to live a worldly one.

Romans 8:5 NKJV
[5] For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Matthew 6:33 NKJV
[33] But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Psalm 42:9 NKJV
[9] I will say to God my Rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"

Psalm 42:10-11 NKJV
[10] As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" [11] Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

You need to remind yourself of what God says. That is why you need to commit Scriptures to memory.

Is the Holy Spirit at home in your heart?

5. Spirit led believers overcome the old life.

Romans 8:12 NKJV
[12] Therefore, brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Romans 8:14 NKJV
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Are you a child of God?
