Proverbs 21:1-6 NKJV
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. A haughty look, a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin. The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. Getting treasures by a lying tongue Is the fleeting fantasy of those who seek death.
Psalm 119:1,27,30,34,35,44 (NKJV)
Gospels or the day Luke 8:19-21
46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
Priest is speaking about a man named Pedro Pio. He dedicated his life at a very young age. Pedro Pio is a controversial person in the Catholic Church.
He had received a stigmata
In July 1918 the Pope asked the whole world to pray for peace.
Pedro Pio prayed on that same day asking God to use him to help provide peace in the world.
Pedro Pio thinks the stigmata, came from that prayer. He was was suffering for the world.
He believed you should, pray, hope and not worry.
People all had their own opinions about him. But, there is something special about someone that is willing to suffer for us and God's kingdom.
Pray, hope and don't worry.
Suffering for the will of God can lead us closer to God and a holier life.
